A Limerick for the Castaway
Standing here on the shoreline of stone,
My big chance for survival is blown.
The boats are leaving,
And I am grieving,
For I now am left all alone.

(About this poem: Although limericks are usually supposed to be funny or "fun," this one is not.  It's still written in the typical limerick form, though.)
