The
University of Iowa in a Nutshell
This
is just a brief rundown of my opinion of the University of Iowa.
Although the 29,000 student number may sound frightening, keep in mind
that a good deal of those students are graduate or doctorate students.
I like it there because the university offers a HUGE variety of classes
and programs, which is especially good if you don't know what you want
to do with your life (which is very typical for incoming freshmen).
The U of I also has a beautiful campus, and while it's a little large,
my classes are usually no more than 10 minutes away from each other.
Another thing I like is the fairly cheap tuition (compared to private schools);
four years at the U of I is about equal to one year's tuition at a private
school. If I went to a private school, I'd be rushed to complete
my education in four years, while at the U of I, I'm able to take my time
and do well in all of my classes.
